Citizone Points of Presence (PoPs) at Ampthill and Biggleswade
(please note the former Ampthill and Biggleswade Mid Beds Council offices have been replaced by the Citizone PoPs)
Your contact point for customer services for Beds County, Mid Beds District and (in Biggleswade only) Biggleswade Town Council Services all under one roof:
Mid Beds Council (in partnership with Beds County Council) has opened two Citizone Points of Presence (PoPs) to replace the former council offices in Ampthill and Biggleswade as follows: - the Ampthill Citizone PoP
This PoP is located at the former magistrate court building in
Woburn Street, Ampthill (near the Police Station)
and - the Biggleswade Citizone PoP
This PoP is located at the former magistrate court building in
Saffron Road, Biggleswade (near the Railway Station).
The building also provides a new Town Hall for
Biggleswade Town Council and the PoP is within this new Town Hall.

Please note that non-cash payments (cheques and credit/debit card only) may be made at the Citizone PoPs.

Please note also that the main Council offices are now at Priory House, Chicksands, following the closure of the current offices in Ampthill and Biggleswade.

When the offices are closed and you urgently need help (Council Emergencies ONLY) you can contact the council's Duty Officer on

(Please have pen and paper ready as a recorded message will give you the appropriate duty officer's telephone number)
The Duty Officer will assess the situation and decide how best we can assist.
Examples of urgent situations include raves or other noise nuisance problems, unsafe buildings due to, for example, storm or traffic damage. It doesn't include payment or account enquiries - these must only be made during office hours.
