Leisure Development Officer

The Leisure Development Officer, Tim Herod, is available for advice on a range of leisure issues for the distict.

His responsibilities contain the following:

New Leisure Developments:

Provides advice on current leisure developments and can help with research into future leisure developments

Existing Facilities

Offer advice on existing facilities provide contact details and endeavour to deal with enquiries concerning facilities

Research and data on local Leisure

Provide advice on any recent research undertaken to assist local clubs, groups in developing new sessions or facilities. Also assist where possible on local leisure research projects.

Playschemes and Holiday Activities

Promote the playscheme grant award scheme and help local groups set up holiday play schemes

Local sports clubs and organisations

Provide general advice on a range of issues to include funding, coaching, volunteers, development plans

Sport and Physical Activity Strategy

Work with a host of partners to deliver the Council's Sport and Physical Activity Strategy
