Community Safety Groups

This article contains linked documents on the right of the page

In the Mid Bed's district there are ten Community Safety Groups and one Business group. They are located in the following areas:

  • Arlesey
  • Biggleswade
  • Cranfield
  • Flitwick + business group
  • Harlington
  • Houghton Conquest
  • Marston Morteyne
  • Sandy
  • Shefford
  • Stotfold

The groups are non political and are made up of volunteers from the community. They do have links with the local Town and Parish Councils and other bodies including Neighbourhood Watch. Funding support comes from Mid Beds District Council, but they can also raise their own funding.

The groups are involved in various types of community safety initiatives, which include property marking events, information days, fetes/carnivals and helping with the setting up of 'No Cold Calling Zones'. If you feel that you have time and would like to get involved please contact David Rollings, the Community Safety Officer at Mid Beds on 01462 611225 or email him via david.rollings@midbeds.gov.uk
