Site Allocations

Invitation for Submission of Housing Sites

As part of the LDF, the District Council must provide for at least 14,230 additional dwellings over the period 2001 to 2021 in line with requirements contained in the East of England Plan (RSS14) and the Milton Keynes and South Midlands Sub Regional Strategy (MKSM).

A number of these dwellings have already been completed or committed, but to help provide for the remainder of this new housing, we are now seeking to identify land which could be allocated for residential purposes.

The Council is therefore inviting landowners, developers and agents who think that their land may be suitable for this purpose to submit an Expression of Interest.

Further details regarding the information the District Council requires, and how to prepare an Expression of Interest, is contained in an Information Pack which the District Council has prepared.

If you think that your land may be suitable for providing future housing growth in the District, please request an Information Pack by contacting Nicola Chessum or Sian Darby on 01462 611358 / 611113, or email LDF@midbeds.gov.uk.

Information packs will be sent out in the week commencing 22nd January 2007 and an electronic version is available to download at the bottom of this web page. The deadline for Expressions of Interest to be submitted will be 19th March 2007.

Invitation for Submission of Employment Sites

As part of the LDF the District Council must plan for at least 11,000 additional jobs for the period to 2021, in line with requirements contained in the East of England Plan (RSS14).

To help provide for this jobs growth, we are now seeking to identify land which could be allocated for employment and other commercial uses, such as retail, leisure or tourism.

The Council has invited landowners, developers and agents who think that their land may be suitable for this purpose to submit an Expression of Interest.

The deadline for Expressions of Interest to be submitted was 12 January 2007.

If you have any questions about this process please contact Matt Pyecroft or Pru Khimasia on 01462 611473 or LDF@midbeds.gov.uk.
